Phaselaw builds tools for teams that have to disclose large volumes of documents as part of Subject Access Requests, regulatory inquiries, or litigation.

Users can process almost any type of file they may be working with, including:

When you make a redaction decision, you have the option of applying that redaction to the entire document bundle.
Automated redactions.
- Personal data: Phaselab will find any personal data contained in the document and suggest is as a potential redaction.
- Confidential data: Define your own custom exemptions for any type of confidential information using natural language and we'll find it and suggest it as a potential redaction.
Collaboration tools.
Assign document reviewers, approvers, invite outside collaborators, comment on documents.

Security and privacy
The Phaselaw platform is cloud-based, single-tenant application built by privacy experts that can be hosted in the region of your choice to avoid cross-border data transfers. They support Single Sign On in all product plans at no extra charge. They are SOC2 Type II certified and have been built from the ground up with enterprise security requirements in mind.
Funding information
Phaselaw announced in April 2021 that it has raised $2.8 million in funding led by Pear, Defined, BoxGroup and Twelve Below. The funding round also received participation from founders of Security Scorecard, Rock Health and Cloudera as well as partners from Gunderson Dettmer.
