Kelvin is a Legal Data Operating System (OS) designed to organize and connect data from various sources within legal organizations, including documents, dockets, and other sources. It includes legal-specific capabilities such as OCR engines and legal dictionaries, as well as connectors for language models like GPT-4. The OS is intended to be a purpose-built platform specifically designed for the legal industry, with an emphasis on compliance with information security standards and data protection laws. 

Using Kelvin requires familiarity with at least one of these technologies:

• Python libraries
• Command line tools, either locally or via Docker
• REST APIs, either via Docker or hosted solutions

The Kelvin Legal Data OS is designed to be LLM-agnostic. Where Kelvin relies on or integrates into large language models, it does so via a common interface that allows for the use of both local and remote LLMs.
