OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman, called out legal as a particularly promising area for applying the technology, and Allen & Overy’s partnership with Harvey has sent this excitement into overdrive. Many have highlighted potential use cases, from drafting memos and contracts to assisting with legal research. These are exciting times, but we must take a measured approach to leverage new AI tools into the legal sphere.
